Instructions for installing and activating Adobe CC and Acrobat.


 
If you have not yet installed the Adobe applications follow these steps:

  1. Close all Microsoft applications.
  2. Sign in to Adobe.com with your Pitt account information
  3. At the Select an account screen select Company or School Account (sometimes called Enterprise ID) (Adobe should pass users through to Pitt Passport to authenticate your Pitt account.)
  4. You should then be passed through to Pitt Passport to authenticate your Pitt account, if not already signed in.
  5. Once back at the Adobe.com site select the option labeled “Apps” from the top menu

  1. From this screen you can install Acrobat DC and other licensed Adobe apps.

After the installation is complete you may need to go through the steps listed below to activate the license.


 
If Adobe applications are already installed on the computer these steps will walk you through the activation process.

  1. Sign out and Close all Adobe and Microsoft applications
  2. Open Acrobat, or any other Adobe CC app, and under the Help tab select the Sign In or Sign Out option.
    1. If you’re currently signed in you’ll need to sign out first
    2. You should the receive a pop-up message from Adobe confirming you wish to Sign Out of all Adobe applications (if you don't receive this message Adobe may not be completely signed out and I would suggest contacting me and I can walk you through the process.)
  3. If not already signed in select Sign In
  4. Enter your complete Pitt email address then select the Continue button
  5. At the Select an account screen select Company or School Account (sometimes called Enterprise ID)
  6. You will then be passed through to Pitt Passport to authenticate your Pitt account
  7. After authenticating your credentials Passport will return you to Acrobat. At this time if you were receiving any Trial notices they should have gone away, and you’ll be welcomed to you licensed version of Acrobat. Due to a lag in the Adobe servers it may take 3-5 minutes for the account to be updated. If needed Sign out again and Sign back in and this time your account should be active.
  8. For Adobe to validate your license the above steps will need repeated every 90 days.
